2006 saw David consult with The Perley and Rideau Veteran’s Health Centre to improve it’s resident’s art workshops and to design it’s newly opened art gallery. He as well provided consultation and design to the Ottawa Little Theatre both for it’s newly opened Janigan Studio and for outdoor architectural lighting.

He has consulted for Christie Lites (Ottawa) on the lighting refit of Ecole Secondaire De La Salle; for William F. White Ltd. (Ottawa) on the lighting refit of the Centre Jules Leger Theatre for Trow Associates regarding auditorium lighting at the North Grenville Community Complex, and for the Ottawa Board of Education on the lighting refit of three of their auditoriums and implementation of a repair and maintenance program on eight of their other stages.

He as well held the position of Auditorium Lighting Supervisor with the Ottawa Board of Education Rental Department responsible for lighting gear management, client liason, and the training, booking and supervision of a labour pool of twelve freelance technicians, staffing the over 100 yearly theatre rentals. Notable clients included the RCMP stage Band, Cowboy Junkies, The Young Company of Stratford and La Groupe De La Place Royale.
