David has provided lighting design for numerous special events spanning a wide and varied clientele such as The Ottawa Humane Society’s "Fur Ball", The Canadian Screen Training Centre's Summer Kickoff Party, The Advertising and Design Association of Ottawa's Speaker Series Seminar, The Canada Cup Bodybuilding Championship and Corel Corporation’s launch of Wordperfect 7, a live and live to tape event.

He has designed Christmas events for Cognos Corporation as well as for The Canadian Conservative Party which included a podium support component for Prime Minister Steven Harper.

For the Canada Council for the Arts he designed the grand opening of their Art Bank facility which saw him transform their 36,000 square foot warehouse and office space with both gallery style and atmospheric lighting. Not surprisingly the night was hailed as "the most astonishing party of the season" (The Ottawa Citizen - print). He was asked back the next year to design their 30th Anniversary party.

Outdoor festivals and projects have included the National Capital Commission’s Winterlude Festival's Major Hill’s Park opening ceremony and concert and The City of Ottawa's Winterlude theme park event "Cheers to the U.K." held at Lansdowne Park.

He as well designed two seasons of The City of Ottawa's Festival of Spring at Major's Hill Park and lit two seasons of the Canadian Museum of Civilization's Summer Plaza exhibit / events and the Canadian Children's Museum's famous outdoor Chinese Dragon. He has also designed the month long Halloween haunted tours for Saunder’s Farm.

He is proud to have worked with the Prime Minister's Office providing site specific consultation for the visit to Ottawa by then President Ronald Reagan and the First Lady and is as well in demand from high end private clientele for grounds and atmospheric lighting design for summer parties and events.
