David's expertise has lent itself to lighting indoor and outdoor events for both live audience and camera as well as studio and location shoots for single and multi camera productions. Freelancing in the broadcast industry for twenty years, his lighting director credits include "The National" (CBC promo spot) and "Jubilee Years" (CBC - Network), "Science Edition", "TVO Kids" and "Referendum '92" (TV Ontario), "Imagine" (TVO La Chaine), "Nouvelle Nouvelle" and "Un autre son de cloche" (Goudsou Productions/TVO La Chaine), "Match d'Impro" and "Jeux Franco Ontarien" (Amerimage Communications / TVO La Chaine), "Nature" (BBC).

He was as well honoured to be asked by the Privy Council Office to act as Lighting Director for then Prime Minister Jean Chretien's Christmas Address to the Nation.

David has worked for Rogers Television Ottawa redesigning “Talk Ottawa”, their daily newsmagazine and “The Big Bad Sports Show” their weekly sports roundtable as well as their multicultural studio space to allow for both interview segments and performance areas.

He has also contributed articles to nationally published trade magazines, namely "Lighting" and "Broadcast Technology".
